Truss, Rigging, Electrical & Cable Management

Truss and rigging, electrical distribution and cable management planned as one combined load rather than three separate ones.

Overview

Truss, Rigging & Electrical across Pakistan

Truss, rigging, power and cabling are the parts of an event nobody photographs and everybody depends on. They decide what can be hung, where it can be hung, whether the venue will permit it, and whether the whole setup can actually be powered from the supply available.

Kaya plans this layer as a single load rather than three separate ones. Screen weight, lighting weight and speaker positions are considered together against the venue’s rigging points and floor loading, and the electrical plan covers the combined draw of screen, lighting, sound and any additional equipment.

Cable management is treated as part of the same job — routed, protected and dressed so that the working areas stay safe and the finished setup looks deliberate.

Truss structure and rigging supporting LED cabinets and lighting fixtures at an event

Where it is used

Typical applications

Every event asks something slightly different of the setup. These are the situations this service is most often specified for.

Screen support structure

Ground-support or rigged structure sized to carry the LED wall safely.

Lighting positions

Overhead and vertical truss carrying fixtures at the required height and angle.

Speaker flying and stands

Positions planned for coverage without obstructing sightlines to the screen.

Outdoor ground support

Free-standing structure with ballast for open-site builds.

Power distribution

Distribution from venue supply or generator across all technical departments.

Cable routing and protection

Routes planned across walkways, stage areas and public circulation.

Scope of work

What is included

Quoted against your actual event rather than a fixed package. Scope can be reduced or extended depending on what you already have covered.

  • Structural plan covering screen, lighting and sound as one combined load
  • Truss layout and ground-support or rigged configuration
  • Venue rigging point and floor loading check
  • Ballast and stability provision for free-standing structures
  • Electrical load calculation across all departments
  • Distribution from venue supply or generator
  • Cable routing, protection and dressing
  • Safe dismantling and removal after the event

Not sure what you need?

Send the date and venue and the team will work the rest out with you

Most enquiries start with a rough idea and a photograph of the room. That is enough to begin — the specification is built from there.

Planning considerations

Truss and rigging: what to plan for

The decisions below are inexpensive to make early and expensive to change late. Working through them before the quote is what makes the quote accurate.

Check what the venue actually permits

Rigging rules vary widely — some venues have engineered points, some allow ground support only, some require their own contractor for any overhead work. This is confirmed with the venue before the technical plan is fixed, not on the build day.

Calculate the total load, not the individual ones

Screen, lighting, sound, processing and catering equipment share one supply. Adding them up properly is what prevents a tripped supply during the programme, and it also determines whether a generator is needed.

Ground support needs floor space

Free-standing structure extends behind and around the screen and needs ballast. That footprint has to appear on the floor plan early, because it competes directly with seating and stage depth.

Route cables before the room is dressed

Once carpet, seating and staging are in, cable routes become very difficult to change. Planning the routes first keeps the finish clean and keeps walkways safe.

Delivery

How Kaya delivers this service

The same five stages apply whether the scope is a single screen or a full production.

  1. 01

    Share the brief

Tell us the event type, expected audience, venue and what has to appear on screen. A rough idea is enough to start.

  2. 02

    Confirm date, venue and requirements

We check the date, review the venue or its drawings, and confirm access, power and load-in timings.

  3. 03

    Plan screen and production scope

We specify the SMD configuration and the stage, sound, lighting, rigging and setup that go with it, then quote against that scope.

  4. 04

    Install, test and operate

The crew installs and tests ahead of the programme, then runs the screen and technical systems live.

  5. 05

    Dismantle and close out

After the event we strike the setup, clear the site and hand the venue back in the condition it was received.

FAQ

Truss, Rigging & Electrical — questions we are asked

If your question is not here, send it with your enquiry and you will get a straight answer.

It depends entirely on the venue. Many hotels restrict or prohibit rigging, in which case ground-support structure is used instead. The venue’s rules are confirmed during planning so the design suits what is actually permitted.
